It is not too early to PLAN 2018

It is not too early to plan 2018. Yes, your employer has grudgingly released your December salary which has now put you in the position of buying gifts for people, enjoying Christmas without restrictions and having loads of fun till the new year. But remember to save some cash, sufficient enough to keep body and soul through January as it always seems like two months in one. So, plan wisely. It is not too early to articulate your goals for next year. To know what skills and influence would take you a step higher. It is not too early to find those videos, courses, books, institutions and people that can help you reach your goals. You can begin the research, the cost analysis, break those big plans into micro plans that can be achieved day after day, week after week, and year after year. Success is not by happenstance: most times, you have got to be deliberate, strategic and give it all it takes. It is not too early to make yourself very happy and break free from relationships that...

Unending Love Note

I write on a leafy note with an ink that prints out my thoughts incompletely. My words of love, spread affectionately in colourful fonts expressing my unmatched desire to pitch the best spot on your heart I write my words, thinking neither right nor left but with beaming smiles and eyes seeing you in each pages, of alphabets arranged in lines as I paste my emotions in letters I write of you Of an imperfect smiles yet beautiful for a queen and a wife Innocent looks melting my harden heart With soft touches like cold water Splashed on tender body A blessing to my soul I have written And won't be my last we have futured this together Even as we grow with kids and build a larger family I will still put words on paper sharing the odds and even moments of our days together I will write as our sons becomes good husbands I will still write as our daughters becomes virtuous wives This ink doth n...

Move You

“I could write my name underneath your smooth skin And wipe it clean with sweet gentle kisses”, he uttered I know nothing turns you on I know nothing drives you crazy You sure do have a thick skin To resist all my dirty tricks   I will find a way in between your skin If need be, crawl through those hidden paths Or climb those tall walls till I could find that jack pot. Where just a finger would move you into my world.

Buhari Son of Mohamed

President Buhari In my country, miracles do happen And our politicians as pastors do, Lay hands on the economy and her citizens And at once, lives don’t remain the same I have read dollars walk out of the banking hall Nobody knows where they all went None could predict the path they took Not even the cashier busy with pens and papers Not even the accountants balancing the sheets on PCs No police to trace their steps, no forensic expert to predict their path This is one big miracle, only in one nation on earth Things happen and I am not disturbed Now that change is here, we hope things changes Too much to settle, with balance not better on deficit PDP wears the blame; APC does not make much of a difference One became the arm of thieves, the other a den of liars (PDP wears the demon; APC is the serpentine devil in black Agbada) The devil is marveled at the two as the country battles in-between The defeated are defecting, some feared changed is...

we'll make love, we'll make babies

If the clouds could gather all of her lovely strength this moment And shame the distant Rivers that deprive us a pool of water If the chilly air could softly dance across the roofs and panes And time would stop boasting of his speed when he walks If nature could open her doors of splendor and beauty tonight And every young man rejoices in the wife of his youth We’ll rekindle passion, we’ll restore inspiration We’ll rebuild ecstasy so true beyond the wildest dreams of Mortals Touch me my spouse with the wonderful hands of your love Let me come into you, for in you is a corridor to pleasure Sweet paradise, allow me into the treasures of your bodies Take me in, and let me walk like a king invited by his queen. If the sky would annoyingly be brave this moment And bar the stars and moon from resting on her bed If the rain could fall freely without holding an aorta of grudge And the wind blows cool to every tree and cities If all eyes could...

Dialogue ( lover's duet)

New books piled in heights of their wits Old manuscripts covered in shame of their tattered garments Too many letters to settle scores between words Never done with numbers that have infinitum friendliness Too much to read, so much I bothered not to miss I have read and thought, listened to voices strong enough to Provoke the inks of my pens Yet words are lost between my pens and my papers. Teach me how to write Teach me how not to repeat the lines Take me step after step into your world Show me that beauty hidden in words What have I not seen? What have I not heard? Lust grossly guised with pleats of love, sex sealed to a doleful mess Too many lies wrapped around a truth that cannot be noticed I have carried plenty of pains, hurts and sadness this long Tired of reaching out again with the last drop of faith Consumed by flames of my fears, soaked in the rains of my tears Too much to hate, gossips of how I got laid Teach me how to make love anew Teach me...

Diary of Arike

I have done it all. Yes. Slept with all kinds of men. The tall dark fine ones without six packs, the ugly dudes with smelling armpits, the fair ones with body hair well shaved like a trimmed garden. The naughty ones who would insist on everything, pushing and pulling you all over every sections till they ran out of zeal and the boastful ones who would just brag about everything but at the end of the day fall asleep like palm oil inside the bottle. My name is Arike. I would not say I am proud of the job, i don’t even know if i should say i did it for the money or whether to affirm that i did it for a long hatred without healing. I was disflowered when i was still young to know the mounting troubles of life. I was raped by a step father who took the advantage of my unloving mother. I would not blame him, I blame my dad who was drunk to the point of meeting death on the express way. Life has being everything to me- the good, the bad and the ugly. The constant rape never ceased after t...

A Good Noise

The noise began then, when the whistle blower was deeply buried in the sensation of a valley between two hills. The scrotum like a dam, due to excitation, released the next generation of noise makers. I am not very certain with the scientific arithmetic but I am quite sure, one out of millions noise makers survived within the valley before emerging  fully with a combative physiological pattern. Well, I have created a sort of distraction in your mind here but if you look deeply, bending towards your creative mind and weird imaginations, you will soon concur that you are one of the noise makers born on earth, distracted by a million and two things. While we were yet forming primatial shape in the womb, we were faced with series of battles within to come out alive so that our parents can be happy. A new baby’s cry most times is a wonderful noise. No matter intense the pain is to the mother, the baby’s cry is always the eraser that magically wipes out every pain writt...

I love books

I love books I love books. I seem not to understand why some people loathe them. While some people see them as just collation of papers with letters embedded in them, I see them as worthy friends with potentials to change the reader from the inside-out through thoughts reconstruction and purpose consciousness. Books wield too much power than any combination of weaponry! Sometimes, my imagination just flips to calling them my adopted kids but unlike little ones that suck and learn from a mother, they teach me things deeper and walk me the higher ladders of life while guiding me into positions. Books are full of wit and wisdom, very much strength can be drawn from them, the more I read them, the more the light is paved across the road for me and the more I study them, the more I found my feet incredibly so high across the tents of the earth. Even the smells of books are overwhelming, the scents they give me spur the desire to breathe them in as oxygen like my life depends on t...

My Bride

Ambience of passion with a ray of rarity My love has come like a dove from above Dressed in a flesh of spectacle like the queen of Sheba Adorned with a tint of carnelian and glitter Freezing all eyes as she descends from the stairs. Moments of essence with a gleam of radiance My beloved comes forth like the fullness of the moon Charmed with smiles lubricated with sweetness Her fairness halts the precision of time And clock takes a long breath for everyone to stare. Season of sensation with a glint of Oneness My bride shows forth like the presence of the sun at dawn Graced with fullness of beauty from the mines of nature Our vows, our words and our bond in body, soul and spirit And thereafter, life sings with joy of us together all our years.

My Oluwadetan

I have read the minds of mortals like books with thousand pages Scanned through hearts of creatures in a blink of an eye Watched the glam of starry nights Through the crescent birth of time in evening bloom, Seen the shiny silvery coins mock the stains of sweaty face And pretty gold stood the weight of fallen worth But still my lady, I have never seen a mind so calm in the midst of chaos like yours Or seen a shiny smile so beautiful like an harvest of the sun’s gentle ray I have seen the kingdoms of the earth in a flash of time Learned about the deep treasures in Angels and Humans Seen the distinct shades of natures in green around clustered trees With curly roots tucked inside the earth’s bosom Watched the stormy burst of the bluish Ocean, the smashing sleepless Sea The silvery crown of the mountains with dews, dreaming delta of the river Nile Sprinkling pattern of the dropping dew and an array of limbic lilies But still my darling, I have nev...

if you must forget my names OmoJola-ade

1. If you must forget my names OmoJola-ade Do not forget the constituent of the names The arrangement of each letters weaved in a row The sensation that resurrect in pronouncement of the names The charm and etymology of the each character set 2. If you must forget my names OmoJola-ade Do not forget the guy that bears the names The gentle whispers of his voice in your ears The gracefulness of sexes walking like lovers on the aisle The brilliance of words from the depth of the soul 3. If you must forget my names OmoJola-ade Do not forget the bridge that connects me to you Or the walks between the steps of two The closeness at the park with two hearts beaming under the moon The rivers of emotions when silence was in the orbit of communication 4. If you must forget my names OmoJola-ade Do not forget those glints of smiles arouse by match of words Or those touches that tune you in harmony with him The love of poems with music and the faintly stare in the eyes Or the...

SeDuCtIoN

(Credits to Owoeye Temitope and Tola Adegbite for their contributions) (Verse 1) I could make you think without a blink Force your mind to explore a thousand miles Lead you into valleys and mountains rough and hollow Swim you along the tides and currents of eccentric passion Paddle your femininity till you are moist without motion Make you lose saintly sanity without a thorough thought (Verse 2) I could be lost in the warmth of your thighs To sink you into depth of feelings with my fingers With soft touches and sweet kisses running over your fluffy hips Take you high and low till your soul whispers Blow you warm and hot, however you want Finding and caressing each spot as my fingers dive (Verse 3) I could make you scream and moan Make your face gleam and glow Take you steadily and gently as Volkswagen Bug Or run you swiftly and oddly as a Bugatti Veyron Without the brakes, not minding what the race takes Forgetting the red LEDs, turning on the green lights (...

Towards that rugged cross

1, Towards that rugged cross I daily crawl Sometimes with half dose of fears Sometimes with a bucket full of tears I persevere even though I am not alone With faith I climb that height of stone To see those long nails in his palms And the show of anguish in his eyes To behold that crown of thorns of his head To see that blood flowing to the ground Into his flesh those sharp irons went He shouted and screamed for the pains he felt At Calvary, there he bore all the pain There he washed all my sins away There he paid all without remains And yet he loves me more He called me a friend rather than a foe Unto that flesh wrought with intense pain I touched The body of Christ laid for my salvation Restitution made for my redemption And all he asked is, I believe in faith through his grace 2. Towards that altar where my life was purchased I walk out of that dirty spot; away from those evil slots To where he took my heavy cross of sins At Go...

Tribute

Tribute to Nigerians Who lived to fight But died at bullets sight For justice, for equity For change, for betterment Tribute to Nigerians Whose smiles suffer them And their cries are never heard Who suffers for daily bread While deep inside, they bleed Tribute to Nigerians Who wake up early to sleep late Hawking for bread, hustling in stress Working, but worked out Striving, but starved to death Tribute to Nigerians Who did not place religion above man But place man above religion Who are their brother’s keeper Who honours the difference in others Tribute to Nigerians Whose friends betrayed and colleagues dismayed In prisons and cell blocks for no offense Praying yet; yet prayed for their foes Men of valour, buried without honour Tribute to Nigerians Who saw political fraudsters and liars And were brave enough to stand their feet Not corrupt by lies, not swayed by bribes Who in t...
